Not updating items across devices while "Connected" sync status

Support Supervisor -

Make sure all apps show Connected status.

If you transferred your purchases/apps from your old device to your new device (i.e. restoring new phone from old phone backup) - please, uninstall GG app on one of those devices and install a new copy from the AppStore.

Thus you'll replace an identical copy of GG app by the app with new ID. And sync feature will restore its functionality.

Choose "Use group data" when prompted if current app has less data than your Group.

 

* Make sure you download same version (Free/Basic/Pro) as was installed before. If you upgraded to Pro by in-app purchase from Basic version - repeat same process, as purchasing Pro directly will result in extra charge from Apple.

    I have 40 updates sitting on my Grocery Gadgets icon.  Grocery Gadgets is not listed in my list of apps to be updated in the app store.  I am using iphone 4 and I think it has the iOS 5 and this is the only phone I have installed this app.  Can someone please tell me how to update my grocery app???

    The icon badge that you are seeing on the app does not reflect 40 updates. It means there are 40 items in one or more lists within the app. The badge on the Grocery Gadget icon tells you how many items you need to buy. There must be items in lists within the app. The App Store icon is the only icon which will badge to show the number of app updates available.

    My old iPod touch was stolen . I have spent 2 years creating extensive shopping lists and other lists. Because it was stolen , I bought a new iPod touch. But now I can't get my old lists to download to my new iPod touch. I see it has a new version of Grocery Gadget. I thought all the backups were automatically saved to the cloud an it would just download. like my other apps were restored. If I cannot do this, I will need to find a new app that will, and is linked to a meal planner also. I am so distressed about this. I have tried to get this to restore for 2 months. I can't live without these lists. Because I have a memory problem. Please Help!

    Also wondering why our real name is posted here? Is there a way to change it to an anonymous User name? I really don't want every one seeing my name.

    I have this app on my iPad and iPhone. Can I get them to sync my lists?

    We are getting an invalid certificate error so iOS 8.1.3 will no longer allow us to sync. It worked fine until about last Friday or Saturday.

    Same problem here (invalid certificate): No more syncs between iPhone (8.1.3), iPad (8.1.3) and Desktop (10.10.2). Hope you can fix that soon!

    Yup, server down for me, too. Help desk responded to my inquiry with a form letter saying answers to questions may be found in this forum.

    All you can do is what you've already done. I'm posting 1 hour behind you and I see the server down also. I will also send a support requrest.

    @Jenean Livesey, you can change your screen name in the drop-down menu in the top right corner of this page. There is no OK button; just TAB out of the field and it will be done.

    Tried everything with new iPhone6 to transfer list from iPhone5. I had backed-up my iPhone and then installed from ITunes the Grocery Gadget app from the cloud and it installed as blank. I tried synching, etc. The email simply states they do not have the bandwidth to respond to support questions. Okay - it is free and I will re-build as my time is valuable! Nice app though. I love it. The synch directions from old to new phone need to be step by step and more clear. I work with tech dudes and they should never write their own documentation! :)

    I'm no longer able to copy/move items from one list to another... I must've used this function a lot because now I miss it terribly!

    You're right! My iPhone still can copy and move (try your iPhone and see if it works for you, too). But my iPad no longer has these items in the pop-up menu. It only gives me the "Delete" choice. Can you file a trouble ticket, or should I?

    Wait, this is interesting. While my iPhone 6S Plus can move and copy items, my wife's iPhone 6 can't! Nor can my iPad, as I mentioned. So, I'm not sure if it has to do with the device, or if it's just sort of random. You might try rebooting; I haven't tried that yet.

    It's not syncing added Stores and their associated lists from iPhone 6 to iPad 3 on iOS 9. 

    Between this and the inability to extend out quantity against price/ weight,mi am going to be looking elsewhere soon.
